The mission of the Mount Miguel High School Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program which addresses the academic, career and personal/social development of each student. School counselors are professional school advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement. In partnership with other educators, parents, guardians and the community, school counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students at Mount Miguel have access to, and are prepared with, the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of our global society.

While Mount Miguel encourages students to first check in with their assigned counselor, students should also know that in cases when the assigned counselor is not available, ALL of the counselors have an open door in times of urgency and crisis.
In order to serve our community more efficiently, we do suggest scheduling an appointment so that we can assure you and your student uninterrupted time with the counselor.
