The Education pathway provides students with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue careers working with children and emphasizes the preparation of students to become teachers. Students gain knowledge and skills within this sequential, standards-based pathway program that integrates hands-on projects, work-based instruction, and leadership development. The Education pathway is designed to prepare students for postsecondary education and entry to a career.

If you are interested in working with kids, the Teaching and Learning pathway is the one for you! Students gain valuable internship experience by working at Avondale Elementary and receive college credit with successful completion of the courses! These classes are fun, engaging, and exciting! You don't have to want to become a teacher to enjoy this course. A love for children and a desire to get real world experience is all you need. Come join us!!
This pathway provides students with the unique opportunity to intern at Avondale Elementary and personally work with kids during the school day! Or, if you prefer, you can work alongside with our very own Special Needs students here at Mount Miguel. Either way, students earn real-world experience to help build that perfect resume! Students also take field trips locations like SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and/or LegoLand!
