Early College High School  🔗

 
Starting in fall 2026, Mount Miguel will officially become an Early College High School, expanding our long-running Matador Early College program so that all students can access college opportunities. Students can take UC/CSU-transferable college courses through our partnership with Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges while still in high school, with no cost for tuition or books for families.

Our Career Technical Education (CTE) programs give students hands-on experience, industry-aligned skills, and connections to college and careers.
 
At Mount Miguel, students can explore:
 
  • Engineering – Design, build, and problem-solve using industry tools and Project Lead the Way curriculum. 
  • Matador Business Academy (MBA) – A four-year business program focused on entrepreneurship, marketing, leadership, and real-world projects with college credit opportunities. 
  • Digital Art – Photography, illustration, video, and digital design that connect creativity with communication and marketing. 
  • Cosmetology & Barbering – A pathway to careers in cosmetology and barbering, where students learn professional skills and explore the beauty industry.

Visual & Performing Arts (VAPA)  🔗

 
Our Visual & Performing Arts programs give students space to perform, create, and grow as artists and communicators. Offerings include:

  • Digital Art (CTE-aligned)

Army JROTC  🔗

 
Mount Miguel’s Army JROTC program focuses on leadership, teamwork, discipline, and service. Students:
 
  • Build confidence and leadership skills
  • Participate in teams such as drill, color guard, and more
  • Engage in community service and school events

Clubs & Activities (ASSETS & More)  🔗

 
Beyond classes, students can get involved in a wide range of clubs and after-school programs, including our ASSETS programs. These activities offer:

  • Interest-based clubs (leadership, culture, arts, STEM, and more)
  • Opportunities to connect, lead, and have fun on campus

Athletics  🔗

Mount Miguel offers a full athletics program where students can compete, learn teamwork, and build school spirit as Matadors. Our teams give students a chance to grow as leaders, stay active, and represent our community with pride on and off the field.
