This change is built around three key ideas designed to give every student more opportunities, stronger support, and clearer pathways to college and careers.
Through our partnership with the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, students can earn real college credits while still in high school—exploring majors, building confidence, and getting a head start on their future. College coursework is an opportunity, not a requirement, and counselors will help students and families find the right fit.
Every student belongs to a House—a smaller learning community with dedicated staff who work together to help students succeed. The House system ensures students are known, supported, and connected throughout their high school experience.
Students will take four classes per semester instead of six or seven all year long. This creates more flexibility for college courses, internships, pathway experiences, and focused learning while reducing the number of competing demands at any one time.
